Alright, it’s time for another Beret patch thingy. This is a pretty big one compared to the last few, and isn’t just bug fixes. Here is the list of changes:Beret, Games || 2 Comments!

A new version of Beret has just been uploaded to address a few more bugs and level design issues. One puzzle in level 13 that wasn’t even supposed to be a puzzle was impossible, so I highly recommend updating. It’s perfectly safe to copy over your existing Beret files – your saves will be untouched.

I’ve put out a new version of Beret to address a few bugs that were brought to my attention, including:
- Certain crushing sound effects were not playing correctly.
- The first boss would fail to load if the player beat him and then replayed the level or restarted the room immediately.
- Selecting menu options with the mouse wasn’t working in the Windows and Linux versions.
As always, you can download Beret here.Categories: Beret, Games || 2 Comments!

If you’re interested in the level editor and don’t want to unlock it the hard way, you can type ‘evilevilevil’ on the map screen. You just have to know how to get around the bureaucracy with things like this…Categories: Beret, Games || Comment!
Beret has finally been released! Go download it for free! Yippee!
Now there’s a Linux version in addition to the Windows and Mac OS X versions, thanks to my friend Nathan Weizenbaum!Categories: Beret, Games || 1 Comment!
I’ve been working recently on getting Beret into a releasable state, which requires a lot of level design modifications and bug fixes. Finding the level design problems and bugs to fix requires a lot of playtesting, so I’ve been having friends play through the whole game. So far I believe everything up through level 8 (of 21) is ready.Categories: Beret, Games || 2 Comments!
It took me long enough, but I have a version with passable video quality. This works for now, but I’ll probably end up redoing it eventually…Categories: Beret, Games || Comment!
Demo versions of the first four levels of my game, Beret, have been uploaded. You can download the demos here. There are versions for Windows and Mac OS X right now, and a Linux version will go up as soon as I get around to compiling it.Beret, Games || Comment!
